If you want to become one of the world’s wealthiest people as a billionaire, then your best bet is attending Harvard or another one of the prestigious colleges in the United States. Twenty of the more elite colleges in the country account for over half of country’s billionaires. Harvard, consistently recognized as one of the top colleges in the nation, produces more billionaires than any other college by a wide margin. The latest Forbes list of American billionaires shows that 50 of the total 469 received their college degrees from Harvard. It’s never just one thing, but a combination of different factors that lead people to have more financial success in their lives. Of course, each of these elite colleges offers a fantastic education, one that offers the potential for an unimaginable income. They also offer something you really can’t put a price on or measure in terms of quality - networking. By simply getting your name out there among the elite, you can open doors that would otherwise remain closed. Some also have specific programs that are highly regarded, such as the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton business school, which is responsible for 20 of its 27 billionaire graduates. Let’s also not forget that these colleges accept only the best of the best, with acceptance rates around 30%. Many of students that are lucky enough to get accepted are simply destined for greatness, no matter what school they attend.
