There are quite a few professionals involved with this degree, including air traffic controllers. Experts expect there to be an acute a shortage in air traffic controllers for the next ten years, which is partially why their salaries reach past $100,000.

Business

Easily the most popular type of degree, a business degree is an excellent choice even if you’re not sure which professional you’ll be pursuing. In fact, some experts even claim that everyone should at least minor in business since nearly all professions involve it in some shape or form. Business majors generally make good money right out of college, with starting salaries averaging about $43,000, which is up 4% from a year ago. There’s plenty of room to move up too, as many business executives make over $100,000 a year.

Computer Science

What type of job is arguably most in demand today? Technology professionals, with job demand expected to keep increasing by 37% through 2016. The average starting salary offer for a computer science graduate is around $50,000. Not only that, but many careers push six figure salaries, such as IT managers and computer systems designers.
