Ah, spring break! If there is a better, more fun time of year then you should probably let the hundreds of thousands of student who partake in this event each year know about it. This is a time when you can get away from school for a bit and when you get back you are only a few short weeks from summer vacation. This can also be a time for students that turns out to be a pretty expensive thing. Some students find that affording a spring break is not something that might be in their reach this year. Spring break is not something that should be denied to any student! They need to know how they can afford to go. The following tips might just help them.
Not all spring breaks need to happen on a plane. In fact, some of the better spring breaks can happen in a car with your friends. You all can pay for gas, which will limit its expense, and you will have the memories of riding in a car to your destination with all your buddies. When you hop in a car and drive then you can go just about anywhere the roads will take you. Contrary to popular belief the U.S. Government has not created a road that leads to Hawaii (that we know of…).
If you choose to go by plane then you should look to see if any of your friends can get you in as a buddy pass. Sometimes if you have relatives who work for an airline, or your friend has those relatives, then you can get a buddy pass that will allow you to take cheap flights that have not been booked up. The use of frequent flyer miles can also come in helpful at this exact time. If you have been saving them up for a solid time, then spring break seem just like the time for this to happen. Another cheap way to fly would be to find a bird big enough for you to sit on. The bird would have to allow you to fly on its back, and you probably won’t know where the bird is going.
Spring break to places where you have family! This could be fun. You could go see some relatives and see places you have not been in a while. The best part about this though is that they will allow you to stay with them. This means that you do not have to spend money on a place to stay! Using family as an excuse is always a good way to save yourself some money. You just need to make sure that it is family that you actually like. Finding a random family in Chicago and calling the man of the house “Uncle Joe” does not automatically make them family. Just make sure you remember this.
There are definitely ways that you can afford spring break and still have a great time. You just need to go out and actively seek those ways. Make sure that you are always safe during this period because it can get crazy. The most important thing for you to do is have fun and get ready to go back to school and finish off that semester with no stress any longer!
